We had a beautiful weekend here in northern California. Took advantage of a break in the rain to get in some great training and some much needed outside family time. Riding bikes, playing soccer, zoo, park. And that was all today. We spent the afternoon yesterday at a local bike race our team " Bicycles Plus" out of Folsom put on. It was an early crit race to get the season started. They did a great job running it and had a great turn out. The awesome weather definately played a role in it. If anyones looking for a great crit check out the next one scheduled for May. Thought I'd start February out with a little something to help keep those New Years resolutions going!!!
"It's not what you do once in a while; it's what you do day in and day out that makes a difference".
What have you done that's made a difference?
Have a wonderful week.

Greater Sacramento area has had crazy storms this week. High winds, lots of rain and some flooding. Needless to say, a lot of time has been spent on the trainer and the treadmill. Funny thing is I am enjoying it. Catching up on DVR shows and working on foot speed. All good things!!! So I thought the quote this week is perfect for the situation.
"What is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our attitude toward it. Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity."

Happy New year
Looking forward to 2010 and all it has to offer. I've decided to post a quote of the week every week to stay focused on what's important in life. Seems like time flies by and sometimes we all get caught in the trap of not enjoying all the wonderful blessings in our lives. Something I really focused on with my preparations for Kona last year was to enjoy every workout whether it was a good or bad one. It's amazing what a little smile on your face while you're pushing through a training session does. So one of my goals in 2010 is to take it all in and enjoy all the moments!!! Here is the first one of the year.
Yesterday is the past. Tomorrow is the future. And today is a gift. That's why they call it the present." So what are you going to enjoy today? Happy training!!!
